Our Chambersburg office brings licensed, compassionate mental health care to individuals, couples, and families across Franklin County. The office is on the third floor at 50 Black Avenue which is accessible from the rear entrance. Clients come to us from Chambersburg, Shippensburg, Greencastle, Waynesboro, Mercersburg, Fayetteville, and surrounding communities. If getting to the office is hard, telehealth appointments are available with select clinicians.

Ashley Beaver, LPC

Ashley is a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience working with individuals and families facing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict, ADHD, grief, and life transitions. 

She believes therapy should be a place where clients feel comfortable being themselves, knowing they will be met with empathy, respect, and genuine support.  Ashley takes a collaborative, integrative, and strengths-based approach and believes lasting change happens when clients feel understood, empowered, and supported.  She values honesty, humor, and authenticity, and strives to help each client recognize their resilience and potential for growth. 

Outside of the workplace, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family, music, and playing video games.

Liz Cabrera earned her graduate degree in social work from Shippensburg University and has six years of clinical experience working as a therapist. She focuses on exploring family dynamics with clients, identifying how shame presents itself, and helping clients rework their perspectives and thoughts.

Liz believes that every person has value and deserves a non-judgmental, listening ear. She assists clients by creating a safe space where they feel comfortable, while offering clinical skills to help them cope with both internal and external stressors.

Clinically, Liz works well with individuals who have experienced trauma, anxiety, OCD, faith-based issues, and postpartum mood disorders. She enjoys using DBT, CBT, and trauma-informed care in her practice.

Outside of her professional work, Liz spends time with her husband and children, gardening, painting, and enjoying outdoor activities with friends. Her passion for family, connection, and emotional safety motivates her to care deeply for her clients.

Throughout her career, she has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families in a variety of settings, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma, and relationship challenges.

Alisha believes in a holistic approach to therapy, recognizing the unique experiences of each individual. She is committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings without judgment.

In her free time, Alisha enjoys exploring nature, engaging with art and music, cooking, and spending quality time with loved ones.

Licensed Professional Counselor

Brian K. Shaffer is a clinician with over 25 years of experience in the fields of spiritual and pastoral care, grief, loss, bereavement, trauma care, mental and behavioral health, and addiction. In addition to his private counseling practice, Brian serves as an Online Adjunct Faculty member for Grand Canyon University and Montreat College.

Brian is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Nevada, and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New Hampshire. He also holds credentials as a National Certified Counselor, an Internationally Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and an Approved Clinical Supervisor. He has earned a Master of Theology degree, a Master of Science in Clinical Counseling/Mental Health, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education and Supervision.

Brian’s focus is to provide counseling, assessment, and intervention services to help clients achieve their goals for a more authentic life. He has a passion for offering quality care, support, and services to both clients and students in the areas of addiction, mental health, counseling, and spirituality. For self-care, Brian enjoys playing golf, hiking, biking, walking, exploring, spending time with his dog, relaxing at home with music, re-learning Spanish, and volunteering with his church and community.
